Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

Our lives consist of 5 elements:

  • What we think
  • What we feel emotionally
  • What we feel physically
  • How we behave
  • Where we are and who we are with (environment)

Change one of these elements and the other four are altered, to varying degrees.

If we have some insight and do not like the way we behave, or feel emotionally, then changes can be made. Similarly, if we dislike our environment, or how we feel physically, or dislike our thoughts or the impact that any of these 5 elements have on ourselves or on other people, then we can try to change.

We can learn/adapt to do things differently. This will also influence our family and friends, and they in turn may change, and this will affect us.
